fitness app
Young professionals in cities like New York have hundreds of fitness options - from studios and gyms, to private lessons. The client, an NYC-based startup (currently in stealth mode), came to my then team to design a product that would make utilize this volume of options in a unique way.
Our solution was to create a platform that curates in-demand classes/lessons, and gamify's the user's personal fitness goals in order to personalize the experience, and encourage frequent use of the app. My duties on this project included:
- conducting research on similar apps in the space
- making strategic recommendations based on research as to the functionality/capabilities of the app
- defining product requirements
- mapping user pathways
- planning and writing interace, navigational, and microcopy
- designing functionality of gamification elements
- composing pitch deck to be used in partnership pitches (to gyms, studios, etc.)
